COMMISSIONS ARE CURRENTLY CLOSED
In the future we must limit the amount of orders we accept on a monthly basis, to control the workflow for our artist(s) and to avoid extensive turnaround times. Please sign up on our Mailing List to be informed of our availability as well as other MMOART updates. Please review the following FAQs for general information about MMOART and our services. If you have further questions, comments or concerns, please refer them to support@mmoart.com.
MMOART - Massive Multiplayer Online Art - is a commission fan art service dedicated to the gaming industry that was created in August 2005 by husband and wife team, Jomaro & Nakiesha Kindred.
Jomaro Kindred (aka Gill Bates) is the lead artist who creates all of the pencil, ink, color, and digital paint artworks. Occasionally, additional colorists are contracted to assist in artwork production.
All customers receive a digital copy of their artwork in either .jpg or .gif format through email, and if applicable, the original hard copy of their artwork through ground shipping (hard copies are not available to Digital Paint orders, as they are completely digital from start to finish). In addition, Color orders will receive their choice of high quality prints of their piece. Digital Paint orders receive an 18 x 24 print of their piece on studio art canvas. Please see Price List for artwork print options.
Yes, former pencil and ink commissions can be upgraded to color at any time by placing another order.
No. We reserve the right to object to all treatment of the works which amounts to a distortion, mutilation, misrepresentation, or is otherwise prejudicial to the honor or reputation of MMOART and its artist(s). This includes, but is not limited to, any person who performs any artistic process whatsoever over the completed artwork without expressed consent from MMOART and its artist(s). Doing so would not only discredit the work of the original artist(s), but would also infringe on the intellectual copyrights of the artwork. All clients must submit to an agreement to this effect before their order will be accepted. View our Reserved Rights and Terms of Service here.
The best way to ensure that your artwork will last is to frame it. Most frames have UV protected glass and will prevent colors from fading over time. Pencil pieces should also be framed to prevent smudging. Ink pieces, however, will last even if unframed. This is because the artwork inking process is done with highly-pigmented inks that are of archival quality, water-resistant, and unaffected by any type of light exposure.

'Color' is the traditional comic-style of digital coloring that involves the penciling and inking of a drawing by hand, which is then scanned and colored by computer. This is most commonly seen on the average comic book cover. 'Digital Paint' pieces look like actual oil paintings on canvas (smooth strokes, no hard ink lines). This is done solely by computer and is a much more extensive coloring method. These pieces will not include a hard copy as they are completely digital from start to finish, but they do include an 18 x 24 print on studio art canvas.
Yes, we do accept rush orders (except for group pieces) and all fees must be paid in full before any artwork begins. A rush order is any commissioned piece that would have to be placed ahead in the queue list because of a specific deadline, such as a birthday. Rush orders MUST be processed at least 2 weeks prior to the deadline date and will require an additional 50% fee. Any rush order received less than 2 weeks from the deadline date will require a 100% upcharge.
Due to the varying factors of each artwork request, we cannot provide a definitive turnaround time. The wait period depends entirely on the complexity of the artwork and the number of pending orders in the queue.
